While both give you flexibility, they are built for different "battlefields."
It works with both. The Flexmig is engineered to allow full gas flow through the extension. Whether you are running a standard MIG setup with gas or a Flux Core setup, the tool is fully compatible.
Verify your flow. While you generally don't need to change anything, the extension can cause a minor restriction in gas flow. We recommend testing your gas flow rate with the tool mounted to ensure you remain within spec for your specific weld.
No. We selected specific internal materials to drastically reduce drag. You can bend the Flexmig into an aggressive radius to reach difficult spots, and the wire will feed smoothly without binding.
No. Do not use aluminum wire with this tool. Aluminum is too soft to push through the curve of the extension and it will jam. Stick to steel or stainless steel wire.
A perfect 360° weld won't fix a broken manifold stud. Use EZ Stud Out® to extract broken bolts in minutes before you lay down your bead. The ultimate prep tool for every exhaust job.
