This tool helps you to convert a number or a text between decimal and hexadecimal representations.

What is "decimal and hexadecimal" all about?

Hexadecimal (or base 16, hexa, hex) is a numeral system with a base of 16. It uses sixteen different symbols to represent a specific value. The most common 16 symbols are the numbers from 0 to 9 and the lettres "A,B,C,D,E,F".

The decimal numeral system is the most widely used perhaps because humans have ten digits over both hands. It represents the numbers from 0 to 9 (0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9). We seem to like the decimal system since we have all sorts of top 10 classaments, 10 commandments, lists of ten and so on.

How do I use this tool?

Well it is quite simple. You type in some text you want. Then you choose what do you want to do with the text you've just entered. You can convert it from decimal to hexadecimal system or you can do the other way around: convert from hexadecimal to decimal. Click on "Show result" button to see the result.
